Sending an enquiry
A free survey request or a shop basket sent for review does not place an order or take payment. A VELUX online checkout becomes a paid order when the secure payment succeeds; its confirmation identifies the exact products, price and delivery or collection choice. We confirm the specification, availability, total price, delivery or fitting arrangements and payment details with you before you proceed.
Delivery and fitting
VELUX online orders are supply only, with €10 delivery in the Republic of Ireland or free collection from our Baldoyle showroom. Wait for our ready-to-collect message before visiting. Supplier lead-time estimates are subject to availability; we confirm dispatch or collection readiness. For other orders, delivery areas, charges and timing depend on the product and whether you need supply only or installation. These are confirmed with your quotation or order. A manufacturing estimate is not an installation appointment.
For consumer goods, delivery should take place within the agreed period, or normally within 30 days if no other period is agreed. If delivery is late, you can usually give an appropriate additional period and cancel for a refund if that deadline is also missed. An additional deadline is not always required, including where an essential agreed delivery date is missed or the trader refuses to deliver. Contact us promptly if an agreed date has passed.
Made-to-measure and personalised goods
Goods made to your measurements or clearly personalised do not generally carry a statutory change-of-mind cancellation right. Check the measurements, fabric, colour, controls and other details before approving manufacture.
If you want to change or cancel, contact us as soon as possible. We will explain what is possible and any lawful costs already committed. Ordering a standard item in from a supplier does not automatically make it personalised.
Standard goods bought online or by phone
For non-personalised goods covered by the distance-selling cancellation right, tell us within 14 days after receiving the goods if you wish to cancel. You then have a further 14 days to return them. You do not need to give a reason.
We refund the goods and the standard outbound delivery charge within 14 days of your cancellation notice. We may withhold the refund until the goods are returned or you provide evidence of return, whichever happens first. Refunds use the original payment method unless you agree otherwise, without a refund fee.
You bear the direct return cost only where this was explained before purchase. You may be responsible for a reduction in value caused by handling beyond what is needed to establish the goods’ nature, characteristics and functioning. Contact us for return arrangements before sending an item.
Purchases concluded away from our premises can also have cancellation rights. Unsolicited doorstep sales can have a 30-day cooling-off period. The applicable information should be provided before you enter a contract; the personalised-goods exception still matters.
How to tell us you are cancelling
Email info@baldoyleblinds.com or write to Baldoyle Blinds Ltd., 17A Baldoyle Industrial Estate, Baldoyle, Dublin 13, D13 V2X2. Include your name and order reference so we can identify the purchase. A clear statement is enough; you may use the wording below.

If something is faulty or incorrect
Your statutory rights apply to personalised goods as well as standard items. Contact us with the order details and a description of the problem. Photographs can help, but you do not have to rely on a manufacturer’s warranty instead of your rights against us.
If a fault arises within the applicable first 30 days, you can reject the goods within that period and seek a full refund. You may choose repair or replacement instead. After that, repair or replacement is usually available; a price reduction or refund can apply where the legal conditions are met, including serious faults or an unsuccessful remedy.
An applicable repair or replacement must be free, within a reasonable time and without significant inconvenience. We cover the required return, removal and reinstallation costs for faulty goods where the law requires it. Please contact us to arrange this.
Guarantees and aftercare
A commercial or manufacturer’s guarantee is extra protection. Its duration and conditions depend on the product and should appear in your order documents. It does not replace statutory rights, which can continue beyond a guarantee period.
For maintenance or a problem with an existing blind, call 01 839 5319. We can assess whether a repair, replacement part or roller re-cover is suitable.
