Your information,
handled with care.

Who is responsible

Baldoyle Blinds Ltd., 17A Baldoyle Industrial Estate, Baldoyle, Dublin 13, D13 V2X2, is responsible for the personal information you send us through this website. Contact info@baldoyleblinds.com or 01 839 5319 about your information.

When you contact us or request a survey

Our enquiry forms ask for your name, phone and email, plus the information relevant to your request. A new-product, repair or commercial enquiry also asks for your area or Eircode. A survey request asks for your location and product interests. You can also give us project details, room and control preferences, an order reference, company details or a description of a repair, depending on your enquiry. Timing and contact preferences help us respond appropriately. Saved choices are added to the notes, which you can edit before sending. Please avoid including sensitive personal information in your notes.

Your request is recorded in our website database and emailed to our team. We send a confirmation to the email address you provide. We also record a request reference, submission time and source page or campaign label so we can manage the enquiry and investigate delivery problems. The form does not take payment or create a customer account.

Optional photos, plans and documents

You can attach up to five JPEG, PNG or HEIC photos or PDF documents to a contact or survey request, up to 10 MB each. Attachments are optional and upload when you send the form. We use them to understand your windows, project, product or repair and prepare our response. Please share only relevant files and avoid identity documents, financial information or other sensitive personal information. Photos and documents can contain location and other embedded metadata, so remove anything you do not want to share before uploading.

Files are stored privately using Cloudflare object storage. Our team receives private download links in the enquiry email rather than large email attachments. Anyone given one of these links can access the file, so the links should not be forwarded. They are not included in public galleries or marketing. Downloads expire 90 days after the enquiry. Unsubmitted uploads expire after 24 hours; expired files are removed by routine cleanup as uploads are processed. Relevant copies saved by our team for an order or aftercare follow the record-keeping approach below. Contact us with your enquiry reference if you need an attachment removed.

We check file sizes and supported formats and limit upload requests to protect the service. If an upload fails, you can retry or remove the file and send your enquiry without it.

Creator collaboration enquiries

Our collaboration form asks for your name, email, social profile links or handles, project location, approximate timing and proposal. You can also share your partnership preference, audience size and location, proposed content, a media-kit link and a phone number. These additional details are optional. We use these details to review and respond to your proposal, and record and email it using the enquiry services described here. Please share only information relevant to the proposed collaboration. Submitting this form does not subscribe you to marketing.

Optional Eircode address lookup

If you choose “Find my address”, your Eircode is sent through our server to Postcoder (Allies Computing) to retrieve your postal address. We do not send your name, phone, email or project notes with the lookup. You can enter your address manually instead. See Postcoder’s privacy information.

Searches and lookup results are not saved in our enquiry database. Only the address you submit with your enquiry is included in your request. We use temporary request counters and a changing, pseudonymous network identifier to limit misuse; these contain no address searches. The lookup does not load a third-party browser script, set third-party cookies or save your address in browser storage.

Why we use your details

We use your enquiry to respond, arrange a survey and prepare a quotation: steps you ask us to take before a possible contract. If you order, we use the relevant details to fulfil that contract and provide aftercare. We retain records where a legal obligation applies.

We also use limited request information to protect our service from abuse and investigate failures, in our legitimate interests in running a reliable website. Sending an enquiry does not by itself give permission for marketing. Email marketing is a separate, optional choice. Providing the required contact details lets us process the online request; you can call us instead if you prefer.

Optional email marketing

You can choose to receive emails from Baldoyle Blinds about interiors inspiration, product news and offers by ticking the separate, optional marketing box on our contact or consultation form. It is unchecked by default. You can send an enquiry or book a consultation without choosing marketing. This permission covers email only, not marketing calls, texts or WhatsApp messages.

We rely on your consent for this use of your name and email address. We record your choice alongside your enquiry, including the permission wording and version, the source form and, if you opt in, the time consent was recorded. Your choice is also included in the enquiry notification sent to our team. Enquiry responses, quotations, appointment updates and order messages are separate from marketing.

You can withdraw consent or object to email marketing at any time, free of charge. Use the opt-out method in any marketing email or email info@baldoyleblinds.com asking to stop marketing emails. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before you withdrew consent or our handling of your enquiry or order.

We use your details for consent-based marketing while that permission remains valid and the information is needed for this purpose. If you opt out, we stop using your details for marketing. We may retain a limited record of your consent and withdrawal where needed to demonstrate compliance and respect your opt-out. Existing enquiry or order records may be kept for the separate purposes described below.

Online VELUX orders

When you continue to payment, we save your name, email, phone, delivery or collection choice, address where needed, product codes, colours, finishes, quantities, total and acceptance of the order terms in our website database. After payment we keep the Square payment reference, payment status and order confirmation records for fulfilment, customer support and applicable accounting obligations. We use these details to perform your purchase contract and send service messages, not to sign you up for marketing.

A necessary checkout cookie links the saved order to this browser. Your order identifier is also kept for this browsing session so a refresh can recover an interrupted payment. VELUX fabric swatches load from the supplier’s content service; that service receives the usual image request information.

Website and email services

The website uses ChatGPT Sites hosting with Cloudflare for the application and enquiry database. Resend processes enquiry and order notification and confirmation emails; copies also reach our business email service. Staff handling your enquiry or order use the relevant information to respond and arrange the service.

Our confirmation emails do not use Resend open or click tracking. Email images may still be requested by your email application when it displays the message.

Optional website and advertising measurement

With your separate permission, Google Analytics helps us understand visits and Google Ads helps us measure whether adverts lead to new enquiries. Neither optional purpose is required to browse or contact us. We rely on your consent and you can change or withdraw either choice through Cookie information.

Google may receive page information, technical device information and, with advertising measurement consent, ad-click identifiers. Analytics counts contact-link clicks separately from accepted form submissions. Advertising conversion events are sent after the server accepts a new enquiry, with an enquiry reference to prevent duplicates. These events do not include your name, email, phone, address or enquiry notes. An accepted request is not a confirmed appointment. We do not use personalised advertising or send enhanced-conversion contact data.

Google provides these services and processing may occur under its applicable terms and safeguards. See Google’s privacy policy. Ordinary traffic on our shared test site is excluded. Withdrawing consent stops future optional measurement; it does not erase information already received by Google.

Saved choices, cookies and external links

Saved products, fabrics and your shop basket use storage in your browser. Browsing a shortlist does not send it to our team; you choose when to submit an enquiry. Read our cookies and saved-data information to see what is stored and clear it.

External WhatsApp, Google Maps, Instagram, Indeed and supplier pages open only when you follow their links. Those services handle information under their own policies. A shop basket sent through WhatsApp or your email application is shared through the service you choose. Our Pay a Bill and shop checkout pages use Square’s embedded secure card form. Card details are sent directly to Square; Baldoyle Blinds does not store your card number. We share the payment amount, name, email and order reference with Square to process and identify your payment.

Keeping your information

How long information is needed depends on whether it relates to an open enquiry, an order, aftercare, a complaint or a legal record-keeping obligation. Browser choices remain until you remove them or clear this site’s storage. Contact us to ask about the records held for your enquiry or to request deletion; applicable legal obligations may mean some records must be kept.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction or a portable copy of information you provided. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw consent where we rely on it. These rights have conditions and exceptions.

You may contact us using the details above or complain to Ireland’s Data Protection Commission. You do not have to contact us before raising a concern with the DPC.
